• Most Common Types Of Land Entry Files

    • Cash

    • Military

    • Homestead

    • Mineral

    • Timber Desert

Land Entry Records may include:

  • place of birth

  • citizenship

  • military service

  • court information

  • parents, siblings, and/or heir information

These government documents may generate more questions about your ancestor than answer the questions you already had. Many of the records, depending on the time period and type of land record, will also have court documents that should be hunted down in the future.

What Information Do I Need To Supply to Order a Land Entry File?

The easiest way to submit the information we need to request your file is to copy and paste the website address from your ancestor’s land entry on the Bureau of Land Management(BLM), General Land Office (GLO) Records Automation website into the “Order Notes” section on our checkout page. You can also enter their name, the state they received land in and the year they received the land into the “Order Notes” section.
