- proof of identity of claimant
- pension certificates
- power of attorney
- and correspondence
5 year half pay pensions for the War of 1812, Mexican War, and Indian War are also included in this collection. Widows of veterans were allowed bi annual half pay payments for up to five years if she did not remarry. If the widow did remarry, the veteran’s children under 16 could claim the pension.
